Pour some oils on me 💃

When you apply oils topically, it is always a good idea to apply with a carrier oil. So what’s a carrier oil?

A carrier oil can be coconut oil (check out fractionated, it’s always in the liquid form which makes it convenient when applying), almond oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, and more. Applying essential oils along with a carrier is not only the safe option but it's also smart. When oils are combined with a moisturizing carrier oil, it absorbs much more efficiently into your skin which allows the essential oil to start working faster for you!

Ways to apply topically:

  • Add a few drops to your palm, add your carrier oil and inhale, apply to neck, behind ears, temples, or even add to a steaming bath for ultimate relaxation. Perfect way to wake up in the morning or start your workout or yoga sess!

  • Use a roller ball for convenience when you’re on the go or maybe there’s an essential oil combination you use frequently that you just need quickly on hand! A roller ball of lavender and fractionated coconut oil is dreamy to have by your bed. Apply to feet and neck for calming vibes before your slumber.

Whenever you are making DIYs, such as roller balls, sprays, cleaners, etc. always store in amber glass containers! You can find them easily on Amazon! Since essential oils are so highly concentrated, storing them in glass helps keep their shelf life and is much more effective and non-toxic than plastic containers.

Here’s some fun ways I use oils topically:

  • lavender and eucalyptus with FCO; applied to feet for a restful sleep!

  • peppermint and FCO; applied to temples for migraines and headaches.

  • rosemary and FCO; applied to scalp and ends to promote hair growth and thickening

Energy roller ball recipe:

10 drops peppermint

10 drops clove

10 drops cinnamon

10 drops frankincense

10 drops grapefruit

Fill with FCO or another carrier oil of your choice

Apply to wrists and behind ears
